My name is Nancy Offers from Newark, Ohio.

I came to New Realm about 6 month ago because of ping in my mouth after cancer surgery in 2003. The cancer was on my tongue, tonsil and at the back of my mouth. After the first surgery, I had radiation treatment. In 2004 I had another surgery/biopsy and was found clean. In 2005 had another surgery/biopsy and cancer was found again. This time they removed ¼ of my tongue on the left side. Had my 4th surgery/biopsy in 2006 and again was found to be clean.

This caused the nerves to be cut which caused more pain then before. A friend of mine suggested that I try New Realm. She and her mother went to Dr. GAO and his wife Jing and were very happy with them. I wanted to find something besides pills and pain management injections (which did not work). Dr. GAO and Jing gave me a new way to management my pain.

When I first went to him I was really nervous, so nervous, that I was freezing cold. I hate needles, but he told me that I would not feel the needles as they were very thin. He was right. The only thing I felt was his hand on my face, ankles, hands and arms when he inserted the needles.

At first I was going three times a week, then twice a week, now just once per month. The pain is not gone totally but it is manageable now. Before the treatments, I could hardy eat or drink anything because it hurt too badly. Now I can eat almost anything (except really spicy foods) and can drink anything I want without much pain. I know that the pain will never be gone completely but with Dr. GAO and Jing’s help, I will be able to management it.

Have no fear about this wonderful procedure. It really can help. I know because it has helped me.

My name is Laura Williams. I have currently taken six acupuncture treatments. After receiving only three treatments, I began to notice a difference in my feet. The problem that I have is fasciitis and I also had a surgery performed on one foot. I also was diagnosed recently with neuropathy. I felt I was at the end of my rope. I was in constant pain and it became impossible to walk at any long distance. Going to the grocery store became a dreaded chore.

I have suffered from severe menstrual cramps a few days before and during my period since I was a teenager. I have had two surgeries to alleviate endometriosis both of which lessened my cramps for a few months but they eventually grew back to their original severity. I began taking an anti-inflammatory to control the pain in my early-twenty’s and assumed I would continue to do so until menopause.

I began visiting New Realm for other issues and was astounded and pleasantly surprised when the treatments all but eliminated the menstrual cramps that have visited me four or five days a month for over 20 years. I would never have believed it had I not experienced it for myself.

After a near fatal auto accident, I was left with constant chronic nausea and anxiety for over 6 months. Traditional Doctors put me thru every expensive test and medications they could think of with no improvement. I was in the emergency room in two hospitals 5 times and admitted twice for 7 days each, I kept getting worse and losing weight to the point I didn’t want to be seen. My medical Doctor told me he had no idea what more to do and when I told him I was going to try acupuncture he said “go for it”.

I had completely lost my appetite and felt full all the time everyone was trying to get me to eat, especially my husband he begged me to try to eat even a little. They kept telling me my body would not function. One medical doctor told me he would have to put in a feeding tube. I certainly didn’t want that. I was trying to force myself to eat a few bites each day. I was so weak all I wanted to do was sleep. I was confined to the house only for Dr.’s appointments and tests. The whole summer lost.

My husband heard on TV about acupuncture helping with nausea and anxiety, and made an appointment for me with New Realm Acupuncture. I was not worried if the treatments would hurt as I felt so bad but surprisingly it was practically painless. This is the first thing people ask me.

When Xuguang told me he would do four treatments and if I was not 50 percent better would do no more. It sounded so encouraging to me. After the first treatment I felt good enough to stop at a restaurant and eat part of a meal. After 4 treatments I was at least 80 percent better. I was amazed at how good I felt and no one could believe how much better I was, even the medical doctor was surprised.

It was so amazing that I felt so good in such a short time when I had suffered so long. Acupuncture treatment also helps relieve anxiety and energizes and promotes general healing. I now feel 100% better and am back to feel even better than I did before the accident. My husband tells me nearly everyday how happy he is that I feel so good.

Xuguang and Jing have literally given me back my life and I can’t thank them enough. They and acupuncture will be my first choice when I have anything wrong again.

Hi, my name is Hui. If you are looking for a Chinese treatment of acupuncture, I am highly recommending you to New Realm Acupuncture Center. I only had several treatments so far, and I feel great and comfortable after each treatment. I never know how powerful of those thin needles, which amazed me after each treatment. Of course the needle can not do anything itself without their professional skills.

I had a car accident on April, and that is the reason brought me to New Realm. I went to so many western doctors, and they all told me to eat pain killer without finding the real problem of my headache and breathing problem. I feel great after my first exam with GAO and Jing, because they are really try and work hard to help me with my health and problems.

If this is your first time, I believe you will be very nervous. That is ok, because I was like that too. Since the needles are so thin, the treatment feels like mosquito bit. A key word for you—“relax.” Just enjoy the treatment as you enjoy your Sunday SPA.

I, Peter J. Parkey was advised in November 2003 that I have esophageal cancer. A “G” tube was installed in my stomach for feeding, but I found out that “G” tubs basically are failures. I came to New Realm Acupuncture in December for an acupuncture treatment and was to receive several. My esophagus was opened enough to receive solid food. I feel this treatment help me a lot, because historically esophageal cancer patients starve to death, the tube is too small to supply nutritional requirements.

I had experience with acupuncture before, so when the doctors were telling me I had cancerous nodules on my thyroid I immediately decided to try alternative treatment first. The statistics were low that the nodules actually would be cancer and I wanted to see if I could reduce the size or make them completely dissolve before having surgery to have my right lobe removed or possibly my entire thyroid. Removal of part or all of the thyroid requires medicine indefinitely. I searched in the yellow pages for an acupuncturist and New Realm was the first place I called. I consider myself lucky to have found a good acupuncturist.

After six weeks of acupuncture treatments, yoga, meditation, visualization and adopting a vegetarian diet, the size of the nodules reduced by half. I am on the right path and I feel with Dr. Gao and Jing’s help I will not lose my thyroid and my overall well being will be considerably better. Many thanks to them for their knowledge and compassion in dealing with me as a whole person and not just a symptom that walked through the door.

I had suffered with low back pain for many years. A neurologist and an orthopedic doctor diagnosed it as myofascial strain and told me to “live with it”. I saw New Realm Acupuncture at the Asian Festival, read the pamphlet, studied and read facts about acupuncture myself and had 8 weeks’ treatment. My back is much more flexible, much less pain now and I am able to lift weights and take long walks again. Acupuncture has also relieved my stress and tension, given me a balanced appetite. Meaning while, Chinese herbal therapy (moxibustion) has helped my sinus and eczema! I am so grateful!

I was diagnosed with asthma in Nov. 8 2004 after battering with bronchitis for several weeks. Immediately, I was told to keep a rescue inhale with me as well as use inhales steroids 2 times a day. I decided that I had to search for another way to heal my body instead of relying on conventional drugs.

I read many articles on how acupuncture helps relieve symptoms of asthma. I decided to find a trustworthy doctor in the Columbus area. Luckily I encountered New Realm! After the initial treatment, I noticed a “difference”! After 1 month I have not reached for my inhale once!
